Francesca Waite – FISTD, CDE, (Imperial Ballet, Modern, Tap & National), ISTD Examiner
Francesca has been principal of GSD since 1997. She started dancing at the Guildhall School of Dancing when she was three years old and went on to train professionally at Bush Davies Schools, Romford. She then proceeded to embark upon her teaching career. She taught at Laura Faulkner School in Romford, London College of Dance and Drama in London and Bedford, and Bush Davies Schools,
East Grinstead before returning to Norwich. She has been an ISTD Modern and Tap examiner at grade and vocational level since 1980. Francesca teaches modern and tap at GSD and is also a qualified tutor for the ISTD teaching diplomas.
Jenna initially trained at The Central school of Performing Arts and then with June Glennie before going on to train full time at Bird College of Performing Arts in Sidcup where she gained a Diploma in Dance and Theatre Performance. After graduating, she performed in Spirit of the Dance for two years, touring with the company to the USA, China, Taiwan, Spain and Denmark performing both the ‘Irish’ show and their Broadway review show, ‘Spirit of Broadway’. She then went on to perform on various cruise liners She was Dance Captain and Assistant Choreographer for two of the companies. Jenna gained her teaching qualifications at GSD.
Jenna has been teaching dance in many different settings for the past 5 years and has recently returned from Australia where she taught on of the most prestigious dance studios in Sydney. Jenna joined the teaching staff at GSD in April 2012 taking classes on Saturdays and is now teaching ballet on weekdays following Mrs Leney’s retirement in July.
Jane Ashley-Emile – FISTD (Modern), LISTD (Imperial Ballet) CDE
Jane trained at Bird College in Kent and after performing professionally opened her own school which she has run successfully for many years. Jane teaches for GSD on Saturdays and is also a tutor for the teaching qualifications.
Abigail Waite – CDE (Modern , Tap)
Abigail was a pupil at GSD until she was 18 and then trained professionally at Tiffany Theatre College in Essex. When not dancing professionally Abigail returns to GSD and covers a variety of classes.
